Went to eat there with my 5 other friends for lunch. The restaurant was very accomodating to sit us comfortably as well suggest proper portions to feed our bellies. Food wise, their curries are on the mellow spicy side yet quite well layered with taste, generous in meat and quite thick/rich in sauce which is great. Nan was thick, fluffy and crisp, Rice was perfectly cooked with great aroma. Samosas also nicely crispy. The blonde (Taj Mahal) and brown (Cobra) beers served there were surprisingly refreshing and good pairings with the meal. The restaurant vibe itself could probably use better lighting to account for the lack of windows and also to help us appreciate the food better. Chairs felt a little old but I'm fine with the tables. Lets just say "it works". This place gets 5 stars since the price and quality of food was great and I'll be returning to this spot when craving for indian food in the area.

Some say simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. This restaurant is the embodiment of this expression. The dining area isn't exactly glitzy, but it doesn't matter when you're going there for the curries, as you should be. The curries have the perfect sauce-to-meat ratio and contain so much flavour that there should be a warning about it on the door. We've been regulars for years, and I can't see that changing any time soon.

What can I say? We were the only folks in there on a Thursday evening. The food was delish, the vindaloo hot, and at the end we had a very pleasant conversation with the owner. No, there was no people watching or other distractions...just a wonderful evening with my wife with a great meal. Don't do take out. Sit. Detach. Have a good time.

I have been coming here for 20 years. In my opinion some of the best Indian food in Montreal. I particularly recommend the chicken dansak since it’s hard to come by elsewhere (only if you can handle spice!) The atmosphere is unfortunately not great since covid, as people have turned to take out
